Psych Wise is a private mental health practice located in Wise, Virginia. We will work with you to improve your life. You will learn how to succeed at achieving your goals for your own personal growth. Our mission within the mental health counseling field, is to provide the opportunity to help individuals improve their future in the most positive manner that fits their desired outcomes. Teaching coping skills and strategies to help them achieve and successfully maintain the changes, allowing our clients to have a safe, non-judgmental, welcoming atmosphere, where they will feel comfortable discussing all issues, no matter how big or small they may think they are. We are open to work with all cultural ethnic backgrounds, social economic statuses, sexual orientation, and diverse religions. Our focus is making the client’s personal view a positive one within their situation and their future. We are experienced in working with adults, children and adolescents, couples, and families. Areas of concern include anxiety, depression, self-esteem/identity, interpersonal/relationship difficulties, trauma, family conflict, adjustment to changes, addictions, and grief/loss. Our approach to psychotherapy is data driven using the following approaches: attachment, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, person centered, interviewing, interpersonal, and family therapy. Our therapy is integrative and tailored to fit your unique needs as an individual, couple, or family. Additionally, your culture, values, and beliefs will always be an integral part of the therapy process. Psychotherapy provides a safe and healing environment to process experiences and develop insights into- and coping strategies for- current challenges. We will provide you or your family this therapeutic relationship, guidance through your path to growth, and the opportunity to learn new skills, and enhance your life.
