Poor mental health is the main driver of disability and work absenteeism in the prime years of individuals (ages 15-50). Despite the significant consequences, innovation in addressing the complexity of bio-psycho-social conditions liked to mental health has stagnated over the last decades, hindered by fragmented research, insufficient funding, and lingering stigma surrounding brain disorders. Psynapse is committed to tackling this challenge by establishing a robust national infrastructure facilitating clinical research and innovation, leading to the direct implementation and scaling up of more effective treatment options for individuals struggling with poor mental health. Together, we aim to transform mental health, not only in the Netherlands but also globally.
