At PsyndUp, we understand the challenges faced by individuals who need mental health care especially in Nigeria. While there are a growing number of clinical professionals, the current stigma surrounding mental health creates a barrier between these professionals the public. PsyndUp.com is therefore aimed at bridging this gap by creating the first therapist directory in Nigeria, where clinical professionals are accessible to the public. PsyndUp.com will also act as a social networking site for therapists in private practice, giving them the opportunity to connect with other therapists around Nigeria via Nigeria's first Neural Network. In addition to the PsyndUp therapist directory, and Neural Network, the PsyndUp Blog provides a safe space for anyone who has or is in therapy to share their experiences. We hope that via the PsyndUp Blog, more people will understand the importance of managing emotional well-being and adapt a healthy culture of sharing. Our vision and the driving force behind this initiative, is the belief in a world where anyone and everyone has, and understands the information and treatment necessary for mental and emotional health, thus facilitating a healthier society.
