PT2 Physical Therapy & Personal Training is the brain child of the owner Dr. MItchell Yass. He has proven that the cause of pain in most cases is muscle weakness or imbalance. Studies have shown that the use of diagnostic tests such as MRIs and x-rays is invalid in diagnosing the cause of pain. There is no correlation between the findings of these tests including herniated discs, stenosis and arthritis and pain. Any treatment including medications or surgery is invalid in resolving pain because the use of these protocols are typically exclusively utilized secondary to diagnostic test results. The failure of these treatments to resolve pain is well documented and yet they continue to be used. The boom in people suffering from chronic pain is in most cases the result of misdiagnosed acute pain. The method deveolped by Dr. Yass employs clinical evaluations to determine the cause of pain. He has been able to correlate specific causes to specific symptoms, a key to establishing how to treat pain. He has stopped thousands from getting unnecessary surgeries. He has patients come to his NY office from multiple states and as far away as Greece, Ireland and Israel.
