Public Design Collective

The Public Design Collective is an initiative dedicated to strengthening the role of design in Latin America's public sector. Recognizing that many design-driven innovations in government go undocumented or are disrupted by political changes, the project aims to bridge the gap between academic research and practical implementation. Through participatory research, it collaborates with scholars and practitioners to map innovation units, conduct multilingual literature reviews, and build an open repository of public sector design practices. By creating a visual network of these efforts, the collective seeks to preserve institutional memory, support future research, and foster a resilient community of public sector design professionals across the region.
