Founded in 2017 as Stuart Collective, PUBLIC began on the frontlines of major fights for climate justice, public education, healthcare access, and working families. Together with our partners, we’ve helped secure billions in new funding for schools, elect transformational leaders, and pass policies that protect everyday people.
But too often, we saw that good ideas weren’t enough. We are powerful when we come together, but good ideas get drowned out when leaders are stuck reacting instead of leading.
Smart strategy and polling would sit unused. Coalition messages got diluted. Communications teams were asked to do too much with too little. And narrative power—the kind that shifts opinion and builds lasting support—kept falling through the cracks.
