Public Health Pathways (PHP) was a UK-based charity founded in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, which later closed in 2024.
Its mission was to help reduce the gap between scientific knowledge and lived experience. Over 4-years, they produced over 50 reports and held a dozen live events. They developed a design thinking methodology for young people delivered across the UK alongside national and global stakeholders. In addition to spearheading action-led research projects in the UK, Cameroon, and Bermuda by helping grassroots initiatives define inequalities and articulate the impact of their work.
The charity's methodology was health research literacy. It comprised listening, co-creating, and knowing when to step back.
Public Health Pathways had a membership spread over 30 countries across Africa, Asia, North and South America and Europe, from various backgrounds, including healthcare, humanitarian, engineering, computer science, business, and other innovation sectors.

The trustees, members, and volunteers unanimously agreed to close the charity in 2024, feeling that Public Health Pathways had fulfilled its purpose and with the feeling that the next generation will take their methodology to new levels.
