Publishing 451 is a boutique publishing house giving voice to alternative perspectives through the print and online release of fiction and non-fiction works, old and new In the area of fiction and poetry, we are partnering to give opportunity and voice to new and emerging authors. Inspired by Ray Bradbury’s 1953 classic science fiction novel Fahrenheit 451, where books were outlawed and ‘firemen’ burnt any books that were found, Publishing 451 embraces electronic communication technology and social networking to give new life to all that was – and still is – good about books. And, having no fear of the temperature at which paper spontaneously combusts, Publishing 451 is proud to continue to see books published and distributed in print format. Authors are encouraged to tell a story, and perhaps to also ask a question or two. Are you an author? Do you have something to share? Do you have questions to ask? As a heterodox publisher giving voice to alternative perspectives, there has never been more of a need to share our collective wisdom. Publishing 451 is seeking emerging and established authors and manuscripts in the following areas: Fiction and Young Adult Fiction; Psychology, Behaviour and Society; Consciousness and personal development; Public interest; Politics; Alternative economics; Cutting-edge issues and global challenges; Children’s stories; Health and Wellbeing; Publishing 451 is also actively reprinting valuable works and publishing works recently translated into English, as well as publishing ‘lost works’ for the very first time.
