Projects with Underserved Communities (PUC)

Projects with Underserved Communities (PUC) India 2023-2024 is a team of six students from UT Austin hoping to develop a humanitarian engineering project for the Bellura village in Karnataka, India. Our goal is to build a multipurpose community center to provide a space for the community to gather, learn, and socialize. We are partnering with the NGO CASA, who connected us with Bellura. The village lacks public buildings, so this center will foster education, creativity, connections and positive change. In May 2023, we will travel to Bellura for a 3-week implementation trip to help construct the project. Our emphasis is on community engagement to ensure we address Bellura's needs.
