Punlib is not a commercial company in its present form but a kind of public service non-profit venture. It was started as a course project and over time it has expanded many fold. and was launched as a webportal in 2008. Till now it covered public libraries and related matter but now its expanding to include other topics of professional interest of librarians and library science students.
