Puraite is a spin-off from Paderborn University that develops AI-powered solutions to transform how systematic literature reviews (SLRs), meta-analyses, and broader evidence synthesis are conducted in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. Our mission is to enable faster, more transparent, and more scalable generation of medical evidence to support everything from early R&D to market access and health technology assessments (HTA). Built by a team of machine learning researchers and supported by over €1.1 million in non-dilutive public funding (EXIST Forschungstransfer & StartupTransfer.NRW), Puraite automates critical components of the evidence pipeline: title and abstract screening, full-text review, and structured data extraction. Unlike black-box models, Puraite’s explainable AI engine offers full traceability and confidence scores, making it suitable for regulatory-grade use cases. Pharmaceutical companies and CROs use Puraite to drastically reduce the time and cost of generating robust, reproducible evidence for drug development, global value dossiers (GVDs), and real-world evidence (RWE) submissions. Our hybrid human-in-the-loop workflow ensures scientific rigor while freeing up expert resources to focus on high-value tasks.
