Kelly A. Claffey has 20 years’ experience in the construction industry. Kelly commenced her career as an intern with New York State DOT. She has had a passion for building since her high school days and followed those dreams through to fruition. Kelly worked in heavy highway, building construction and most recently as an Owner’s Project Manager. She has ambitiously worked her way from a supporting role to a valiant leader. Prior to founding PureSource, LLC, Kelly served several accomplished roles: owner’s representative, project manager for healthcare, corporate, higher education, K-12 school markets, leader of several cross functional project teams, marketing manager, process & procedure trainer. Her career has flourished where her precise analytical style, collaborative innovative personality and tenacious passion have thrived. Networking and people connecting are a strength of Kelly’s. Kelly successfully completed five projects with Cooley Dickenson Hospital in Northampton, MA and successfully introduced the Connecticut market to an out of state firm that she was a part of. Kelly lead a dynamic, high functioning team at The Hartford Insurance Group tower in downtown Hartford, during its 2014 campus renovation. This complex and dynamic project presented schedule and site logistic constraints which were overcome by effective communication and efficient processes. Kelly has enjoyed success in mentoring and training new associates to become great leaders within her organizations. She prides herself on championing efforts to train and mentor associates in processes and procedures and always explains the “why” for associates to grow within. No matter the position, Kelly has always been part of the solution, not part of the problem. Collaboratively working through challenges, unforeseen conditions, project team dynamics is the mission of Kelly. Client success is paramount and top of mind for Kelly in her representation of any project, task, client or mission.
