Purify City

Purify City enables environmental actions by improving air pollution data quality and availability in Latin America. Air pollution is a cause of various diseases and, therefore, a public health issue with detrimental consequences. Meanwhile, Latin America’s air pollution measurement network is of particularly low density. Thus, we assemble and install low-cost sensors that measure PM and other pollutants each minute. The collected data is used to identify causes of air pollution and to propose data-driven environmental policies that aim at the root causes of air pollution.
