Purple Visits is a dedicated video calling platform that helps prisons and other secure establishemnts to facilitate video calling in an effort to strenghen family ties. Launched in Jersy and Guernsey in 2019 and then rolled out across all prisons in England and Wales during 2020, the system has sucsessfully helped thousands of people to maintain contact whilst their loved ones are in custody.
