Est. 2020 by seasoned entrepreneur, DeeDee Wright-Ward, Purpose Toys was founded as a pipeline to major retail for toy entrepreneurs of color. With a mission to produce CULTURAL, intentional products for kids, while elevating cultural talent, cultural leadership, and burgeoning entrepreneurs; Purpose Toys provides the infrastructure and resources necessary for under-served entrepreneurs to succeed. With the successful launch of its two inaugural brands, "NATURALISTAS" (the world's first all-Black line of Natural Hair fashion dolls carried at major retail) and "HBCyoU Dolls" (the world's first toy line to celebrate Historically Black Colleges and Universities), Purpose Toys has quickly established itself as a cultural behemoth and nationwide leader of Natural Hair toys and CULTURE-driven goods. With the goal to provide "Product with a Purpose", Purpose Toys continues its mission to "Center and Celebrate Communities of Culture™" through the founding of its historic new CULTURAL division (Purpose Toys LATIN), the nation’s first *dedicated Latino/a/x toy division! The first brand scheduled for 2023 release under Purpose Toys LATIN, is “LATINISTAS” (the world’s first all-Latina line of fashion dolls)! Under the leadership of DeeDee Wright-Ward, Purpose Toys and Purpose Toys LATIN continues to disrupt industry trends of ambiguous “multiculturalism”, with nuanced CULTURE-driven products, cultural storytelling and PURPOSEFUL/MISSION-driven goods.
