Launched in the year 2015 Putali Nepal initially was a fiscally sponsored program working specifically in the field of Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM). We sustained by introducing menstrual cups (Ruby Cup) and Menstrupedia comics. Putali Nepal was also the first one to introduce the menstrual cup in the country. Alongside the sales of Ruby Cup, we also provide different interactive training and workshops on sexual and reproductive health using Menstrupedia Comics which breaks menstruation related stereotypes among children with its interactive stories.
In 2019, however, Putali Nepal was registered as a non profit company by 5 enthusiastic women who have been working primarily in the field of education, environment and health. Our current mission and vision is “Present Trailblazers, Future Influencers” and “Creating Child Friendly Education Tool to Promote Social and Behavioral Changes” respectively. Despite the broadened vision and program expansion we have given continuity to the MHM sector where we use Menstrupedia Comic as our educational tool to inform and raise awareness about Menstruation in the hope to bring positive behavioral transformation in the communities.
