It was in 1951 that 10th generation members of the family of General Israel Putnam converted an old shoe factory building on their property into a spotless candy kitchen on busy Route One. Ever since then, our candies have been made from treasured old New England recipes, using only the purest and finest of ingredients. Our original smorgasbord allows you to make your own sundae from a selection of 15 toppings, many of which are made on site. In 2017, Cathie's Cafe was opened where we serve sandwiches, soups, salads, coffee, baked goods, and more.
