About PuzMed
PuzMed is an academic platform for unpublished scientific and medical data. Users can create IP-safeguarded collaborations to turn unused unpublished data into publications or request data for their research. PuzMed has three main aims: A) Every researcher, in any given area, has to organize his/her data at the end of a project. However, there is almost always a certain percentage of good quality data which end up in a drawer and forgotten because they cannot be connected to the main story of the project. PuzMed allows researchers to not waste interesting unpublished data, but to protect-post them (data will be visible only after authorization by the author(s) ) to create collaborations and increase the number of their publications (as our terms and conditions state that whoever uses or reproduces, totally or partially, data downloaded from PuzMed in a publication has to insert the author(s) of these data among the co-authors of the publication). B) It allows the user to call for data. In a call for data the researcher will declare his/her interest for data regarding a specific topic and will request other users to send him/her relevant data to create collaborations. C) It allows to create a bridge between hospital corridors and laboratory benches. The hope is that by searching the database, researchers from many scientific areas can benefit from the observation of talented and experienced medical doctors to obtain clues about the clinical relevance of their fundamental observations. On the other hand, by protect-posting their accurate observations, medical doctors contribute to the scientific community, and can end up collaborating in international level publications.
