About PV-STAR
PV-STAR has received €2 million from the Occitanie to implement its action plan. The project is led by CNRS. The aim of PV-STAR is to adress technology gaps identified in yhe photovoltaic industry and propose concepts that are better suited to non-standard conditions uses (high solar concentrations, high temperatures, degraded or extreme climates, space environment). New physical concepts, adaptations of existing principles, or the use of materials not yet employed in the field, may offer various solutions to improve the performance of existing systems. Four research topics have been defined for the PV-STAR project: - Physics of photovoltaic energy conversion under non-standard conditions, exploring the limits. - Innovative materials. - The contribution of digital technology to the analysis and collection of data under non-standard conditions. - New concepts for hybridising solar energy conversion methods.
