PYSSUM (Paramahansa Yogananda Society for Special Unfolding and Moulding), is a voluntary effort of disciples of Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda and several other like-minded people to help individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (our Angels) in a classroom setting in Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, India. PYSSUM began its activities on 24th July 2005, with a two-fold approach of specialized care and holistic development of these angels through PYSSUM Child Development Centre (PCDC).
Working extensively since its foundation, PYSSUM has now flourished as a state-of-the-art organization in the field of intellectual disability and children at risk in Lucknow. Today PYSSUM, with strong and dedicated team members from various areas of Inclusive Education for special need children, Therapy and Clinical Psychology is working for children at risk, children and adults with special needs, their families, people in need of holistic healthcare services and people aspiring to serve in these areas, through PYSSUM School, a centre for inclusive education, early intervention and holistic child development, PYSSUM Vocational Training and Rehabilitation Centre (PVTRC), PYSSUM Research and Training Centre (PRTC) and PYSSUM Wellness Centre (PWC).
