From our own experiences, we know about the value of networking and mentorship opportunities for LGBTQ+ individuals. Our experiences at McKinsey & Company inspired us to start Qonnect as a community for LGBTQ+ professionals. With Qonnect, we aim to turbo-charge personal and professional development opportunities to through the power of connections! In addition to the community itself, we create structured programming around 2 pillars: 1) Peer-to-peer mentorship program connecting students / early career professionals with more senior folks. Over 2 cohorts, we have matched 30+ mentor-mentee pairs, with several successful outcomes, including offers from top consulting firms, admits from top b-schools, and coming out to friends & family. 2) Fireside Chats with senior LGBTQ+ leaders and Allies. We've already hosted chats with Ali Potia (Partner at McKinsey) and Mozez Singh (Director, Filmmaker) with 100+ participants.
