QION

QION is an art project centered on uniquely rich and immersive audiovisual experiences. Informed by years of training in the fields of architecture, structural engineering, and computational methods, the studio is interested in creating distinct experiences that combine a sense of space with the innate emotional resonance that music inspires. Years of training in the field of architecture provide a sense of place-making and spatial understanding; the pieces developed at QION have a sense of physical space and dimension that are only further emphasized when viewed in person. The process by which the pieces are made is informed by expertise in the fields of computational geometry, scripting, and design. While the methods are digital, QION aspires to create work that is intellectually stimulating while also being emotional and evocative.
