About Qiptahs Healthcare Solutions
QIPTAHS (Qualitative, Innovative, Practical, Transformative, and Accessible Health Services) is a non-profit health and wellness organization founded by a team of experienced and dedicated healthcare professionals with a combined experience of decades of service, working in the most advanced healthcare settings in the world. We are a non-governmental organization with a vision of transforming healthcare delivery in the country. Access to quality and affordable healthcare is a fundamental right, and that is why we have teamed up and put our resources together to address this and other healthcare needs of the Gambian people. Our approach is to target three main strategic areas in achieving our goals, which by providing community health services through community outreach, screening, and referral where necessary, home health services, school health programs, maternal and child health, government/ private sector partnership in areas such as training, standard procedural policy development and quality assurance and more. We want to be able to give back to the Gambian people by helping to compliment the efforts of the Government in addressing their health needs. According to the National Health Policy 2012-2020 of the Ministry of Health of the Gambia, infant mortality stands at 75/1000, and maternal mortality at 730/100,000. A WHO survey conducted in 2008 concluded that 41.4% of adult Gambians never had their blood pressure checked. About 24.4% had elevated blood pressure, 90.5% never had their blood sugar tested, and about 40% of the adult population is considered overweight. These serious findings, coupled with issues like malnutrition, lack of clean water supply, access to proper healthcare, and proper health-related education, among other things, are the real issues behind our motivation to start our campaign.
