Quantum Technology Center

The QTC translates the great research in the field of quantum science at the University of Maryland, College Park and trains the next generation of quantum leaders. The center aims to expand the depth of quantum science through multiple engineering and science disciplines at the University of Maryland, College Park, including electrical and computer engineering, physics, computer science, and materials science. With global impact, QTC translates the most promising advances into practical quantum technologies. Working with government, industry, and other academic partners, QTC has an impact not only to advance science in the state of Maryland, but the world at large. The center is a collaboration between The University of Maryland's College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences and the A. James Clark School of Engineering, and the CCDC Army Research Lab. Technologies coming out of QTC have the potential for commercialization and startup company creation, with a larger impact on economic development for the state.
