The Quadrille Ball is one of the most elegant and entertaining balls in New York City. The white tie event raises funds for academic and educational exchange between the U.S. and Germany. Since 1961, the stipend fund has supported more than 700 outstanding graduate and undergraduate students in their research and studies at German or American universities. All funds are raised through the annual Quadrille Ball. The stipend recipients are chosen in cooperation with the Institute of International Education in New York, Fulbright Commission, Germany, and Columbia University. The Quadrille's umbrella organization Germanistic Society of America is a 501(c)3 Non-profit organization.
