We are the official BAJA team at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology. High-performance autocross racecars are designed, built, tested, and raced by our team, which is 100% student-run. In the ultimate test of our car's capabilities, we compete yearly against institutions from around the world. Competent hands-on production is combined with cutting-edge research and analysis by winning teams. Teams must also be well-organized and make a business case for their vehicle to an industry panel of judges. SAE BAJA develops some of the nation's most gifted and sought-after graduates by putting students outside of the classroom and letting them apply textbook concepts to real problems.
