QuantLab is a pioneering network dedicated to advancing the understanding and application of quantitative methods within the social sciences and beyond. Co-founded by Seraphine F. Maerz from the field of Political Science and Irma Mooi-Reci from Sociology, both esteemed researchers at the University of Melbourne, QuantLab is committed to fostering a collaborative environment where scholars, researchers, and enthusiasts can explore and innovate in the domain of quantitative analysis. At the heart of QuantLab is a deep-seated belief in the power of knowledge sharing. We welcome individuals from diverse academic backgrounds and skill levels to join us in enhancing their proficiency in cutting-edge quantitative methodologies and computational techniques. Our offerings include a variety of seminars and online tutorials designed to impart the latest innovations in data management and analysis. These learning opportunities are crafted to be accessible and are tailored to equip participants with the skills necessary to leverage advanced tools and technologies in their research endeavors. In addition to educational sessions, QuantLab also serves as a dynamic platform for the exchange of ideas, resources, and code. Encouraging a hands-on approach to learning, we facilitate code sharing in languages and tools such as R, Stata, Python, R Markdown, LaTeX, and Quarto.
