On April 3rd, 2015, under the Authority of The Parliament of the Government of Barbados, Queen’s University College of Medicine was granted an Educational Charter to establish a College of Medicine in Barbados. On February 24th, 2017, The University and The Codrington Trust, the governing body of The Codrington College and Codrington Estate, entered into a Long-Term Agreement. The Agreement included the development of a Christian-based Medical College and a complete restoration of Codrington College, which has a rich history that begins with its raison d'être.
