About Queen's Project on International Development (QPID)
QPID is a student-run non-profit organization operating out of Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. QPID is committed to developing a development consciousness in both the Kingston and global communities. We strive for sustainable and ethical development through engaging in critical thinking and informed action. QPID operates several portfolios within the Kingston community. Specifically, we have workshops for Kingston high schools, forums for all community members, outreach and fundraising events, as well as our annual youth conference. Internationally, QPID facilitates 10 internships across 5 locations: India, Philippines, The Gambia, Botswana, and Canada (NWT). Partnered with grassroots NPOs and NGOs, QPID's internship program is founded on the basis of creating mutually-beneficial relationships between interns and host organizations.
