About Queen's School of Computing

Established in 1969, the School of Computing has developed its program through research and scholarship and has become one of the leading establishments in its field. Our Graduates rank among the best in Canada. We are actively engaged in research on a broad range of topics, with an eminent research record. Computing Science, which is based on a firm foundation in logic and discrete mathematics, includes the study of computer hardware (the design of the machines themselves), computer software (the programs that cause the machines to perform useful tasks), and human-computer interaction (effective communication between people and their computing tools). The School offers graduate programs at the Master's and PhD levels and an honours Bachelor's degree. It also offers undergraduate degrees in cooperation with other Science departments at Queen's.
