Our institution was founded by Ms. Patricia Hormaeche Bayne, a dedicated English and Literature teacher. Along her career she noted how schools in Uruguay only contemplated the success that students achieved in the formal sciences field, and those were the most rewarded. Starting from the premise FESTINA LENTE (Hurry up slowly), Queen's School kickstarted a way of teaching where students are allowed to achieve their highest potential, prioritizing not only academic achievement, but also rewarding the effort to develope themselves. Today we know that education implicates to consider a student's academic , social and emotional dimensions, that is why we were pioneers in implementing a Psychology Departament in our school to also attend extra-academic concerns. Today our drive is to build a solid education for our students in the present so they can improve our future later on, to provide our society with capable, integral and determined citizens.
