Quiddity Research is an independent financial research firm specialising in event-driven equity analysis. We strongly believe the world is not efficient, and we believe understanding catalysts and investor flows help investors improve alpha and improve execution at scale. We generate investment insights around companies and their capital structure starting with baseline fundamental analysis and augmenting it with a strong understanding of supply-demand dynamics of investor flows, regulatory requirements which drive investor behaviour, corporate governance, activist participation, shareholder register analysis, and how they all contribute to generating alpha. We are specialists in corporate action analysis. This can include M&A, activism, spin-offs, restructurings, equity offerings, buybacks, voting events, and other events which impact investor understanding and outcome beyond their baseline fundamental investing background. Understanding structural money flows is a core pillar of our research philosophy, so we also conduct research on passive portfolios and their movements. Our index flow prediction work covers a vast array of major and esoteric indices in the Asia-Pacific region and some areas in the rest of the world, and we have a commendable track record in predicting index changes and future passive flows. Team leadership has decades of experience in covering index rebalance events, and we have developed deep understanding of index provider discretionary choices which differentiates us from our competitors.
