After a nearly 25 year career in Lighting which included a Master’s Degree in Theatrical Lighting Design, a multi-year engagement as a Disney Imagineer, and nearly a decade as Vice-President of a lighting distributor/manufacturer, Jason Killelea, Founder of R Six Eight, decided to leave the lighting world behind. The goal was simple: To use a unique blend of design sensibility, controls expertise, and small business leadership experience to solve Technology problems for SMBs. The first creative decision for the new business was to come up with a name, and for this, Jason looked to his Lighting past. Like a majority of the people across the world, Jason’s favorite color is Blue…but not just any Blue. Whether it is referred to as “Parry Sky Blue”, “RX68”, or “R68”, Jason has always had an affinity for one particular gel (color filter) used in lighting. That affinity became the inspiration behind the name R Six Eight. Now in our third year of service, R Six Eight has assembled a talented team of designers, developers, engineers and technicians all focused towards using thoughtful design to create great user experiences.
