Research Academy Ruhr

Research Academy Ruhr is the joint platform of Ruhr-Universität Bochum, TU Dortmund University, and the University of Duisburg-Essen for promoting early career researchers on their career paths in academia and beyond. Our offers are aimed at the around 10,000 doctoral researchers, Postdocs, and Junior Faculty who are engaged in the University Alliance Ruhr (UA Ruhr). Our workshops and events are customized to the different phases of your academic career and prepare you for career goals within and outside the university. Mentoring and networking Our mentoring program for female early career researchers, mentoring³, provides close exchange with experienced professors and peers. Networking is an essential element in all of our offerings. Postdocs and the Junior Faculty, in particular, benefit from the chance to network across our universities, gaining valuable contacts and opportunities for new research projects within the UA Ruhr. Once a year, we invite international early Postdocs to join our Research Explorer Ruhr. The two-week summer program offers you the opportunity to work out third-party funding options for a longer postdoc stay at one of our universities.
