Alliance of Rabbis in Islamic States

The Alliance of Rabbis in Islamic States consists of rabbis residing in Muslim countries, and is aimed to support the work of rabbis and community leaders, in order to promote tolerance, peace and coexistence through sustaining, reviving and promoting Jews to continue Jewish life and Jewish culture in Muslim countries. We, Rabbis living in Muslim countries, believe that true tolerance and coexistance is practiced and demonstrated by supporting Jewish continuity and practice in Muslim countries, as has we have for thousands of years. We currently represent rabbis of all Jewish backgrounds Sefardi, Ashkenazi, Chabad and communal rabbis, living in: Albania, Azerbaijan, Morocco, Nigeria, Turkey, Tunisia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, UAE, Uganda, Uzbekistan and more, as well as rabbis serving in communities of other Muslim majority regions, such as North Cyprus and the Russian republics of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan. ARIS is not associated with any political agenda and its sole focus is on supporting Jews, Jewish Life and Jewish Communities in Muslim countries. Rabbis who are members of the Alliance of Rabbis in Islamic States all reside permanently in Muslim countries, and thus they share the knowledge, understanding as well as the similar needs and mutual challenges. The Rabbis will support each other on all matters of Jewish faith, practice and other activities. ARIS aims to advise governments and other organizations on all matters of coexistence, tolerance and peace, and will be a united voice for Rabbis residing in the Islamic World.
