Rotaract Club of CINEC

Rotaract Club of CINEC Campus was chartered in 2018 under the leadership of our very first president Rtr Awanthi Thimbiripala along with the help of our sponsoring Rotary Club the Rotary Club of Sri Jayawerdenapura. The president of our parent Rotary Club Rtn Dr. Ruwan Thushara Matiwalage along with the District Rotaract Representative Rtr. PP. Mohamed Amjath Yoosuf at the time were instrumental in this process. During the first year the club focused on creating stability, to ensure longevity. The club was able to spread its influence among the Rotaract community to a considerable extent. Under the leadership of Rtr. Naveen Ranasinghe the club stepped into its second year of service. Under the theme ‘always better together’ the club took steps to improve its membership and participation. The measures taken by the club made the membership grow in significant numbers. We were able to charter the first signature project ‘Crescendo’ which was held inside the CINEC Campus premises aimed at discovering new talents among our very own under graduates. Third legacy, the Rotaract club of CINEC Campus was served the community under the leadership of Rtr. Sasitha Eldeniya. She was able to guide the club towards a successful completion of the year with 70+ projects. Furthermore, the club was awarded with some notable awards for the first time in the CINEC Rotaract history along with two awards, one nomination and seven recognitions at the 31st Rotaract District Assembly. Continuing the Third legacy We, the Rotaract club of CINEC Campus is currently serving the community under the leadership of Rtr. Kavinda Sankalpa while striving as one. “The ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones that do.”
