Race Recap, as the name suggests, started as a newsletter that recapped key events that occurred during a race weekend within a season in Formula One (F1). It all began as a fun experiment since Nathan noticed no one posted about motorsports on LinkedIn.
In 2023, he engaged the help of Jonathan Khoo (long-time F1 fan and full-time friend from law school) to rebrand newsletter. That year, we restarted the newsletter under its original name with a new format, focusing on three content pillars.
Throughout the journey, we’ve been lucky enough to talk with some who have worked with people within the F1 paddock. It also showed us a community on LinkedIn — traditionally dubbed as a ‘professional platform’ — who were passionate about motorsports, including Formula One.
As a writer working with a social media agency, Nathan has been fascinated by how social media has made the sport more accessible — and Race Recap is a proof of concept: something created by the fans, for the fans.
