About Radnor Individual & Family Therapy/Adolescent Advocates
Adolescent & Young Adult Advocates (A2) is a unique Partial Hospitalization, Intensive outpatient and Outpatient program specializing in the treatment of Adolescents, Young Adults w/ Substance Use and Mental Health Disorders. A2 was founded by Patti Anne McAndrews, MHS, LPC, CAADC, based on the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Reality Therapy, and built around the concepts of Integrity, Leadership and Community. A2 is committed to helping members restore balance and integrity into their family, educational/occupational and social situations, helping them feel healthier and encouraging changes in behavior. The experienced therapists on the A2 professional team specialize in mental health, social and substance abuse issues within the context of the particular developmental challenges of adolescence and Young Adult. We utilize a combination of individual, family and group therapies, and a community support system of peers and staff to assist our clients and their families through the recovery process. We work closely with doctors, psychiatrists and schools to ensure the best treatment for each client. The key to our success is the collaboration, cooperation and full commitment of time and energy of our clients and their families. Our comprehensive evaluation process leads to the development of a customized treatment plan that gives both the parents and clients a means for navigating through trouble spots. These treatment plans include age-appropriate guidelines for life skills development, and realistic goals with strategies to achieve those goals. They are created to help teens, young adults and their families get their lives back on track. In addition to therapy, we provide tutoring and do drug screens. When necessary, A2 can provide referrals to other professions, including Psychiatrists, Medical Doctors and Hospitals, Rehab Facilities, Learning Specialists, and Therapeutic Boarding Schools.
