Raffughar is dedicated to the famous Darners of Kashmir. The initiative, that takes into account the traditional sensibilities of crafts of the valley, was started on January 1, 2013. We, at Raffughar, believe that traditional crafts are sophisticated & have refined over the years. These authentic hand techniques have evolved over a long time and require a proper direction in order to contemporize them.

Raffughar intends to link small craft based rural and sub-urban producers in Kashmir to modern urban markets, using contemporary designs and marketing techniques, creating a base for skilled, sustainable rural employment, and in the process, preserving Kashmir’s traditional handicrafts.
DESCRIPTION
At Raffughar, we interpret crafts of Kashmir in a new way. We intend to revive the traditional and natural processes of craft-making in the contemporary global market scenario. We rally forward with DNC as our motto, combining Design, Nature and Crafts to yield a meaningful whole. We offer three product ranges such as: Rugs (Namada), accessories (Pashmina shawls and stoles) and designer garments (using traditional embroideries as embellishments). We envisage extending our venture to other crafts of Kashmir and link the traditional craft based rural producers to urban markets.
