It will address the main challenges faced by the rail ecosystem, which also encompasses the complete life cycle of the equipment, including data, and information empowered design, manufacturing, integration of innovative materials, both at manufacturing and at operation and maintenance, 3D manufacturing and robotization, BI based on ICT-enhanced operations and management of the rail system, energy efficiency, power electronics for power quality innovative solutions, and up to decommissioning, recycling or reuse through a circular economy approach.
