Rainbow Game Jam

Rainbow Game Jam was founded in 2016, to create a safe and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ developers and allies, and to celebrates and uplifts diverse and intersectional creators, and explore LGBTQ+ themes and stories through an annual game jam. Rainbow Game Jam encourages healthy working practices through an extended game jam, which gives participants lots of time to explore their work and avoid crunch like a typical 24/48 game jam. We have worked closely over the years with larger orgs such as Unity, Out Making Games, IGDA LGBTQIA+ Sig, and Queerly Represents Me to help create a platform and community for the participants in Rainbow Game Jam. Ultimately Rainbow Game Jam is a space in which creators can explore and tell their stories, whilst also creating a platform and an opportunity for them to do so, alongside being part of a welcoming and supportive community.
