Rainbow Migrants

Rainbow Migrants is a community-led initiative dedicated to empowering multicultural and multilingual LGBTIQA+ migrants in Western Australia. Our mission is to broaden their social and professional networks through a diverse range of activities. This includes peer-education sessions, legal information workshops, and the distinctive 'Rainbow Migrants' Karaoke with an Accent'. Initiated in early 2022, this event was aimed as a fundraising initiative to aid LGBTIQ+ organizations in Poland that are assisting LGBTIQ+ refugees from Ukraine. Our commitment extends further by providing low-cost training and professional development opportunities for service providers, community organisations, and corporate entities. These offerings are meticulously crafted to improve understanding, inclusivity, and offer direct support to rainbow migrants in need. The nominal cost of these programs is strategic, allowing us to channel proceeds directly back into the community. Specifically, these funds support awards for winners of our 'Karaoke with an Accent' contest, assisting those who face challenges and offering them tangible benefits to aid their personal and professional development.
