OUR MISSION is to enhance the well-being and quality of life for those in need by meeting the interim needs of people of all ages. We address the social determinants of health for all New Yorkers.
R.A.I.N. offers a Continuum of Care that includes a range of services for seniors and those with disabilities. Serving over 4,000 clients daily, R.A.I.N. provides twelve Bronx and one Manhattan based full service neighborhood senior centers, transportation services, assistance with benefits, advocacy and entitlements, case management, an Alzheimer’s Caregiver Program, Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program and Home Health Care to the disabled and homebound of any age. In addition, R.A.I.N. provides daily home-delivered meals for homebound elderly, as well as a mobile food kitchen providing daily meals to homeless and hungry in the vulnerable neighborhoods in the Bronx. Our commitment to the aging also includes two residential housing properties providing apartments for low-income seniors.
