.Welcome to Raira Organization, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women and girls through awareness and education. Founded in 2005, active in conflict -affected area , our organization has been working tirelessly to combat gender-based violence (GBV) including female genital mutilation (FGM) and sexual violence , forced marriages .
Our mission is to create a society where women and girls can live free from violence and discrimination. We believe that education and awareness are key to bringing about change, and we work with local communities to promote gender equality and women's rights.
Through our programs, we aim to:
- Raise awareness : conducts community outreach to challenge harmful practices such as FGM and early marriage , and promote women's rights
- Support survivors : Acts as a frontline responder for GBV survivors , offering trusted community-based services amid limited access to formal justice systems
- Advocates for policy changes to protect women in Sudan's ongoing conflict.
- Provides basic health services ,food assistance,and non-food items(NFIs)like water tanks and dignity kits to displaced women and girls .
- Covers medical consultation fees for surviviors of violence .
We strive to break the cycle of violence and empower women to reach their full potential.
