RAM Laboratories conducts innovative research, technology development, and prototyping for the most urgent missions. Research Driven Research is the soul of the company, and has been at the forefront from our earliest days. RAM Laboratories was founded by Dr. Richard MacDonald and Dr. Robert McGraw who met while pursuing their Doctorates in Electrical Engineering at the University of Virginia. Based on their technical interests, they collaborated on developing novel modeling and simulation technologies at UVa’s Center for SemiCustom Integrated Systems. Transitioning Ideas from Concept to Reality With this common background, RAM Laboratories was formed to bring technologies out of the laboratory into the real world. Our initial endeavors applied modeling and simulation technologies to next-generation avionics for the Air Force. We have evolved to address challenges in the fields of advanced analytics, cyber security, mobile devices and networks. Established Trusted Business Partner Since 1997, we have provided services and technologies for commercial partners and major programs and agencies in the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security. RAM Laboratories is a prime contractor on SEAPORT NxG, which spans the entire spectrum of C4ISR mission areas and technical capabilities supported by the Department of Navy. In addition, we are an active member of the Information Warfare Research Project, National Spectrum, Naval Surface Technology and Innovation, and the Systems of Systems consortiums; developing and maturing technologies in these fields.
