Rancho Llano Seco

Rancho Llano Seco is a 6th-generation family farm with a rich history of balancing agriculture, livestock husbandry and conservation. The Rancho is one of the last intact Mexican land grant properties, a reminder of a lost era when Californian, American, Mexican, and Spanish history intersected. We responsibly raise pigs and cattle for our meat products with humane animal husbandry tactics, and grow heirloom beans and ancient grains. We raise our animals from “farrow to fork”, directing every aspect of our product supply chain from animal birth through slaughter, butchery, recipe creation, production, marketing and distribution. Our pigs are fed GMO-free vegetarian feed, 75% of which is grown on our ranch, and raised in deep-bedded hoop barns with continual access to large open air pastures with plenty of sunshine and a great view of the California Buttes. Almost 90% of our land is protected and stewarded under agricultural and conservation easements. Our products are free of antibiotics, hormones, nitrates, nitrates, GMOs, and confinement practices. We distribute to restaurants, butcher shops and grocery stores throughout California and beyond. We also sell direct to consumers via our webstore llanoseco.com and other webstores and delivery services like GoodEggs. We are loyal participants of the Chico, Ft. Mason (SF) and Sunset Mercantile (SF) Farmers Markets each week as well.
