Rantai Tekstil Lestari is an association of private sectors, fashion designer, academicians, NGOs, and other like-minded stakeholders committed to promote sustainability throughout the value chain of Indonesia’s textile, clothing, and fashion industries. The vision of Rantai Tekstil Lestari is to drive the textile, clothing, and fashion industries in Indonesia toward an inclusive and innovative collaboration in search of the best solutions to improve economic, social, and environmental sustainability. The mission is to bring all like-minded stakeholders to support Indonesia’s transformation in textile, clothing and fashion industries toward growth and wellbeing of the people and the Planet. The goals Rantai Tekstil Lestari:: • Improve better consumer behavior in the textile, clothing and fashion industries in Indonesia, which is concern toward the environment. • Promote responsible and sustainable practices along the value chain of the textile, clothing and fashion industries. • Facilitate collaboration among the textile, clothing and fashion industries actors and other stakeholders. • Keep improving the capacity of and knowledge about responsible and sustainable industry practices. The seven companies and two not-for profit organizations are stakeholders who got the commitment to take the first collaborative steps toward sustainable textile, clothing and fashion sectors in Indonesia that are ready to face the global challenges in the future.
