This national foundation is the first of its kind in Australia, providing a unique and much needed spotlight on Tay-Sachs and Sandhoff Diseases by supporting those affected and their families, raising awareness for funding research to improve clinical care and finding a cure for patients with these devastating conditions.
Tay-Sachs and Sandhoff Diseases are rare genetic diseases and those affected suffer a relentless deterioration of mental and physical abilities, and in most cases will not live past 4 years of age.
