The Remote and Rural Enterprise (RARE) Program is an engaged learning program that connects postgraduate and undergraduate students at the University of Sydney with remote, rural and Indigenous enterprises across Australia. Students work collaboratively with these enterprises and academic staff to deliver action-research projects that solve real world business challenges. This two-way learning between students and rural enterprises delivers enormous value to communities. We recognise entrepreneurship to be a powerful change agent, with the potential to positively impact our communities' most pressing economic and social challenges.
RARE collaborates with multiple stakeholders across government, industry, communities, the not-for-profit sector, foundations, students, entrepreneurs and academics. Our diverse and expansive network contributes significant value to all RARE participants. This group aims to facilitate growth by creating new partnerships and opportunities between passionate and driven individuals who care about Australia's remote, rural and Indigenous communities.
