RastaCare Meditech developed a non-invasive, non-contact imaging device that uses cell phones to capture images of wounds in high resolution and in real-time, which can be used at the point of care.
The Portable Automated Wound Care System works by using an existing cellphone with small add-on hardware that is easily strapped to the cellphone.
The data generated through the device will support medical practitioners in their clinical decisions and better wound management.
